Terraroma begins with the Earth
An Iconic Tree
Terraroma is, first and foremost, the land of Provence—a place where traditions, biodiversity, and nature are harmoniously intertwined. On the Valensole plateau, the almond tree, an iconic symbol, embodies both the beauty of spring and the richness of our terroir. For us, this tree at the heart of the region is more than just a crop; it stands as a testament to a love story that gave birth to our family business. Beneath the branches of these almond trees, the ancestors of Pauline, founder of Terraroma, met, forging an unbreakable bond between the land, nature, and family.
Today, with more than 11,000 almond trees, Terraroma stands as the largest independent producer of Provence almonds in France. Our farm is dedicated to an agroecological approach that respects biodiversity. We cultivate our trees without glyphosate or harmful chemicals, in a healthy environment where flora and fauna coexist in balance. Each almond tree is nurtured with passion and respect, emphasizing sustainable practices that protect local ecosystems. Our almond trees symbolize not only the fertility of this land but also the values that drive us: love, legacy, and a deep respect for nature and responsible agriculture.
Terraroma is also about Aroma
The Scent of Tradition
Terraroma is also enriched by aromatic and fragrant plants, especially lavender, a true treasure of our Provençal land. For generations, our family has preserved the art of extracting its scent, following traditional methods in our own distillery. Just as in the past, each step is carried out with care and expertise: the flowers are first wilted, an age-old technique that concentrates their aromas, before being distilled to extract an essential oil of exceptional purity.
This essential oil, renowned for its numerous benefits, is highly valued by natural product enthusiasts. Its reputation extends beyond borders, attracting visitors from around the world each year, eager to discover this artisanal skill and the enchanting fragrance of Provence.
Terraroma is also about honey
The Bee Lover
Terraroma is also about honey, a true treasure of the hive, carefully harvested by Benoît Millet, Pauline’s partner and a passionate beekeeper. With his expertise and love for nature, Benoît produces exceptional honey, certified IGP Provence and Label Rouge, guarantees of quality and a respect for local traditions. This sweet nectar, a symbol of the flourishing biodiversity of Provence, is also a precious ingredient in creating the natural cosmetics of the "Un Printemps à Valensole" line. Integrated into formulations that respect both skin and the environment, this honey helps make each product a concentrate of authenticity and well-being.
The Olive Oil Treasure
Rich and Beneficial Olive Oil
Because Terraroma is committed to using the finest ingredients from its local terroir, the company has chosen olive oil, an iconic product of Valensole and Provence, for crafting its "Un Hiver à Valensole" cosmetics line. A symbol of Mediterranean tradition, this oil has been cultivated for centuries on the sunlit lands of the region, known for its wealth of benefits. A true natural treasure, olive oil brings nourishing, protective, and regenerating virtues to this line, dedicated to very dry and damaged skin. Used for generations to care for and protect the skin, this oil, rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, makes each product a tribute to the Provençal way of life, offering a natural and effective solution against the harshness of winter.
